STATEMENT OF FAITH
Statement of Faith
Of The Principal Truth Institute — An International Digital Church Ministry
I. The Scriptures
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the final rule of faith and practice for the believer, sufficient for salvation, discipleship, and instruction in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21).
II. The Trinity
We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—co-equal, co-eternal, and of one essence (Matthew 28:19; John 1:1–3; 2 Corinthians 13:14).
III. God the Father
We believe in God the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, who governs all things by His providence and sustains all creation through His sovereign will (Genesis 1:1; Psalm 24:1; Hebrews 1:3).
IV. Jesus Christ the Son
We believe in Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, fully God and fully man. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the grave, ascended to heaven, and will return in glory to judge the living and the dead (John 1:14; Philippians 2:5–11; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Acts 1:9–11).
V. The Holy Spirit
We believe in the Holy Spirit, who convicts of sin, regenerates the believer, indwells, empowers, and sanctifies the Church. The Spirit distributes spiritual gifts for ministry and empowers believers for witness and service (John 14:16–17; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 12:4–11).
VI. Humanity and Salvation
We believe all people are created in the image of God but are fallen through sin, separated from Him, and in need of salvation. Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone—not of works, but as the gift of God (Genesis 1:27; Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:8–9).
VII. The Church
We believe the universal Church is the Body of Christ, composed of all who are born again by the Spirit. The local church—whether gathered physically or digitally—is the visible expression of this Body, called to worship God, proclaim the Gospel, disciple believers, and demonstrate love and holiness (Matthew 16:18; Acts 2:42–47; Ephesians 4:11–13).
We affirm that the digital gathering of believers is a valid and Spirit-filled expression of Christ’s Church.
Through livestreams, interactive worship, teaching, and online fellowship, the Church extends across borders to reach all nations.
VIII. Sacraments and Ordinances
We believe in the ordinances of the Lord’s Supper and baptism. Baptism is an outward sign of an inward faith, administered to believers as an act of obedience. Communion is a remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice, practiced by the gathered body of believers—whether in local assembly or in a worldwide digital fellowship (Matthew 28:19–20; Luke 22:19–20; 1 Corinthians 11:23–26).
IX. The Great Commission
We believe the mission of the Church is to make disciples of all nations. In our time, this includes the use of digital technology to evangelize, disciple, and equip believers globally, breaking down barriers of geography to advance the Kingdom of God (Matthew 28:18–20; Acts 1:8; Romans 10:14–15). We emphasize the need for “Harvestors” or trained and committed people in every nation to bring the Good News (Gospel) of salvation through the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross.
X. Christian Living
We believe followers of Christ are called to live in holiness, demonstrating love, humility, and service. Believers are to walk in the Spirit, pursue justice, and live as witnesses of God’s Kingdom in every nation and culture, both online and in person (Galatians 5:22–23; 1 Peter 1:15–16; Micah 6:8).
XI. The Last Things
We believe in the blessed hope—the personal, visible return of Jesus Christ, the resurrection of the dead, the final judgment, and the eternal destiny of the righteous in the presence of God and the wicked separated from Him (1 Thessalonians 4:16–17; Revelation 20:11–15; Revelation 21:1–4).
