The Society of Nescience is the first of the four-volume Max Bandy series. This fictional book is an intriguing story of the life and times of Max Bandy. Max is a good man living in Bangor, Maine with his wife and two children.

Life for Max is good but there is a sinister influence with national and international conspirators, called The Dominion, at work and operates a local office in Bangor. The goal is to keep the population in the Nesceint state meaning that they are unaware of the immense global powers that move the world away from the knowledge of God.
